Looking for unique, inexpensive ways to celebrate your love this Valentine's Day? Get inspiration from this list of Valentine gift ideas, picked especially with teens in mind.
1. Homemade Cookies
Sweet treats are standard Valentine's Day gifts for a good reason - everyone loves them. Do your sweetie one better by baking your own Valentine cookies and arranging them in a pretty tin. Try one of these easy recipes, or make a couple different kinds and mix them together:

2. A Personalized Mix CD
Burn a CD with a combination of romantic songs, songs that are important to your relationship (like the first one you danced to) and inside joke songs (like the theme song to the corny TV show that you both love). Then decorate the CD case with a college of fun magazine clippings.
3. Tickets to a Show
Check your city guide to see what all-ages shows are coming to your town. Don't limit yourself just to concerts or sporting events. Comedy shows, film festivals or fancy-schmancy plays can also be fun. Buy two tickets (one for each of you), tie them with a ribbon and put them in a gift box to surprise your sweetie. (You might need to check with their parents to make sure there are no scheduling conflicts.)
4. A Photo Album
Photos are taken all the time, but way too few of them ever get printed. Correct that this instant by printing out your favorite photos of you and your sweetie and putting them into first pages of a new photo album. (The other pages are for the photos you haven't taken yet.) I like this classy plaid album with a slot for a cover pic.
5. Handmade Artwork of Something They Love
Depending on your artistic skill level, draw, paint or do a tracing of something your boyfriend or girlfriend loves - like their favorite animal, their favorite musician or the logo of their favorite sports team. (Or in the case of my high school boyfriend, Chewbacca. Weird, right?) If you're not much of an artist, you can find some quality tracing paper here.
7. A Personalized Photo Puzzle
Visit this site and upload a photo of the two of you, and you'll get it back as a 25-piece puzzle that comes with a matching tin. Or to be even more creative, upload a silly pic of you holding a secret Valentine's Day message.
8. A Coupon Jar
Fill a glass jar with cute, handmade coupons that say things like, "good for a good long hug," "good for one back rub" (clichéed, but who doesn't love a back rub?) and "you get to pick the movie we watch tonight." Be as creative as you want with what you write - but keep in mind that your sweetie's going to redeem them one day.
